Living Word Missionary Church is an evangelical church, sharing the word of God to diaspora Sri Lankans in many parts of the world. Founded by Pastor Daniel Navakumar with a passion to share the good news to the Sri Lankans living abroad, the Living Word Missionary Church was first established in Germany in 1988 to lead new Christians to a deeper relationship with God. As believers and leaders migrated out of Germany, LWMC branches were planted in other parts of Europe and Canada to carry out the vision and mission of the church.
The Canadian branch was established in October 1998 in Toronto, Ontario and is now lead by Pastor Yoga Thomas. By the grace of God, the church continues to grow while reaching out to many non-believers in Toronto and the suburbs. With various ministries including Sunday school, youth, young adults, and missionary and outreach projects, the church is a vibrant community of committed and faithful children of God.
Our Dedicated Leaders
Pastor Yoga Thomas
Pastor Yoga Thomas is originally from Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He came into full-time ministry on March 10th, 1991. After serving at The Assemblies of God church, in Colombo, under Pastor Colton, he moved to Singapore in 1996. There he pastored the Tamil congregation of Victory Family Center for seven years. In 2003 he felt led to move to Toronto Canada. He has been the pastor of Living Word Harvest Missionary Church Canada since June 2003.
Pastor Yoga has a heart for the Sri Lanka community in Toronto. There are services held at 2 branches every Sunday, but it is his hope for more branches to open up in order to reach more people.

Prince Aruliah
Pastor Prince Aruliah has been serving as an assistant pastor at Living Word Missionary Church for many years. He has the heart to see the lost souls in Canada come to know Christ. He works alongside Pastor Yoga Thomas to help build the church. His caring personality and warm heart are definitely something that does not go unnoticed.

Victor
Pastor Victor has been a part of Living Word Missionary Church since April 2009. He serves alongside Pastor Yoga Thomas in helping build the church. While he may seem to have a quiet personality, his sermons prove otherwise. Pastor Victor has a heart to make sure everyone feels welcomed at church and it is not surprising to find him welcoming people with a warm smile at the back of the church every week.
